About La Mer
The genesis of La Mer emerged from the discovery that sea silt has a significant beneficial effect on skin regeneration. That premise is the basis for todays acclaimed range of La Mer skincare products. Sea silt is a sediment found in calm parts of the sea shore and is found along the North Sea coast. It is rich in oxygen, sea salt, therapeutic clay, trace elements, sulphur and a mixture of organic components. Paul Gojny – the founder of La Mer – developed the intricate process needed to distil the beneficial extract from natural sea silt. All La Mer products include sea silt extract as the main ingredient blended with other natural marine components and rich nourishing moisturisers. La Mer products are categorised into six different categories, each of which specialises in the individual needs of different skin types. Flexible Care skin care products are for women of all ages and skin types. First Care skincare products are designed for young complexions. All have a special moisture concentration to defer the emergence of fine lines. The range includes day and 24 hour cream and gels. Advanced Care products regenerate and revitalise the skin to delay and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Day creams, moisturizing creams eye creams and anti-aging cream gels all form part of La mer's Supreme Care products with, concentrated moisture, are for the more mature woman to improve the skin's elasticity.skin’s elasticity. These specialised products comprise day cream, night cream and eye contour cream. Ultra Products are deep acting highly moisturising products with rejuvenating ingredients. You can choose from multi active cream, eye contour gel, liposome fluid, lip balm and an Ultra Effect Ampoule to firm the skin and stimulate circulation. Med products are soothing medical products that can be used as part of a regimen to treat skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. They comprise specialised creams, lotions, cleansing milk and a facial toner.
